公民黨就收緊長者綜援申請資格補救措施的回應

特首林鄭月娥今日宣布，自今年2月1日起，會為60至64歲健全申領綜援人士推出「就業支援補助金」，金額為1060元，申請人毋須另行申請，主要鼓勵申請者投入勞動市場。公民黨黨魁楊橋批評，政府收緊長者綜援資格惹來社會各界群起反對，再以「補助金」試圖平息民憤，根本就是「多此一舉」，林鄭今日的建議不但未能完全恢復當初給予申領長者綜援人士的保障，有關做法實際上只是為自己的錯誤決定找下台階。

立法會議員郭家麒更批評，林鄭只接建制派討論補救措施，而將泛民主派拒諸門外，實在是親疏有別。郭指出，林鄭上任時強調自己與梁振英的作風不同，但上任後卻帶頭破壞行政立法關係，做法不能接受。郭家麒重申，林鄭應立即撤回收緊長者綜援方案。

申請綜援及申請長者綜援的門檻是不同，加限往往影響長者，尤其基層長者的生活質素(兩項綜援不同可見附表)

因為退休保障的政策仍然未完善，很多的基層勞動的長者仍然依賴綜援作為退休後援，因此，政府在未有完善的退休保障政策前，貿然更改綜援措施，絕對不可接受。

公民黨認為政府應該擱置原先收緊年齡限制的措施。
