公民黨就流會事件發出的新聞稿

公民黨強烈譴責建制派立法會議員於今日立法會會議上集體拉隊離場，導致流會，以阻止五名議員發表致辭解釋辭職原因。今天事件突顯了功能組別議員及保皇黨足以行使霸權，操控議會程序，扼殺議員發言的權利，不尊重民主精神。

公民黨議員以辭職去達致「變相公投」，令市民有機會以一人一票就「盡快實現真普選 廢取功能組別」作出表態，完全是合情合法。今日建制派議員在會議上集體拉隊離場，又威嚇不會就補選進行撥款，完全是逃避民意、懼怕民意的表現。

五位議員有關辭職的發言，是根據立法會議事規則28A在會議前得到立法會主席曾鈺成事前的批准，而5名議員的講稿內容不會引起辯論。建制派議員拉隊離場，阻止5名議員發言，完全不尊重主席的決定，無視議會程序。

公民黨黨魁余若薇表示：「建制派議員不尊重議事規則，剝奪5名請辭議員的解釋辭職的發言，亦突顯立法會功能組別的不堪，突顯功能組別可剝奪議員的發言權」。
