公民黨強烈譴責政權肆意打壓新聞自由 製造白色恐怖

警方今早大舉出動，拘捕壹傳媒及蘋果日報創辦人黎智英，以及多名壹傳媒高層，同時派出超過二百名警員，搜查壹傳媒大樓。據報導，警方聲稱根據國安法第二十九條「勾結外國或境外勢力」，以及一些其他的罪行進行拘捕及搜查。

公民黨對此表示強烈憤慨及譴責，並指出警方如此高調的搜捕行動，目的是借港區國安法之名，製造白色恐怖，高調打壓新聞自由及異見聲音﹐恐嚇市民噤聲。公民黨指出，面對專制政權的肆意打壓，香港市民只會繼續堅持真相，越打壓、越頑強。
