公民黨支持「立法全面禁止熊膽製品輸入香港和在港銷售」

鑑於有藥廠以活熊取膽汁製藥，公民黨對此類養熊業不人道的飼養方法，與及提取膽汁的殘忍過程感到極度震驚和痛心！我們認為這是一個文明和尊重生命的社會所絕對不能接受的！
月熊屬瀕臨絕種動物，作為香港一個高度重視動物權益和環境保育的政黨，公民黨實有責任維護月熊的生存權，並呼籲社會各界關注牠們長期所承受的痛苦，希望牠們能有重獲自由的一天。
月熊經年被囚在狹小鐵籠，身心受虐，健康遭嚴重損害，所得膽汁也不宜食用。此外，香港大學中醫藥學院早年在實驗室研究中發現，中藥材如黃柏、黃連、黃芩等，藥效比熊膽更為理想。因此，我們根本沒有服用熊膽製品的必要。
為此，公民黨支持由民間動物權益組織所提出的「立法全面禁止熊膽製品輸入香港和在港銷售」的訴求，除響應和參與各項有關活動外，我們也會在議會內協助爭取政府對此訴求的正面回應。
