公民黨歡迎政府擱置限制公眾查閱公司董事資料的附屬法例

財經事務及庫務局今日（3月28日）發出文件（見附件），表明將擱置《公司條例》中，公司註冊處長有權限制公眾查閱公司董事資料的附屬法例。任何人日後可一如以往地查閱公司董事的住宅地址及身份證號碼。

公民黨歡迎政府的決定，認為此舉能充份保障市民的知情權及資訊自由，從而維持香港作為一個高透明度的國際金融中心的地位。公民黨亦指出政府應修訂《公司條例》的有關主體法例，將公司註冊處長可不提供住址及身分識別號碼讓公眾查閱的條例刪除，讓法例完全符合政府現時的政策。
