公民黨港島支部舉行捍衛選舉權活動

公民黨立法會議員余若薇、陳淑莊，聯同七位公民黨港島區區議員及地區發展主任（陳啟遠、司馬文、黎志強、黎廣德、熊百祥、吳彥強及曾健超），今日於銅鑼灣收集市民對遞補方案的意見，並呼籲市民透過不同渠道發聲，捍衛選舉權，要求政府撤回惡法。
分別從港島區補選而出任立法會議員及區議員的余若薇及司馬文更向市民表述過往當日補選的情況及說明從過往港島區補選次的高投票率，反映出市民是積極運用選票去表達其意願，因此保留補選權是非常重要。
公民黨立法會議員及港島區支部主席陳淑莊表示，今年七一，全靠廿二萬人用腳走出來，向政府表達對遞補機制的不滿，令政府隨即將方案延後表決，更展開兩個月的諮詢；可是，政府在諮詢文件中提出的四個方案，連是否合法、合憲與未能確定，更沒有「維持原狀」或「撤回所有方案」的選擇，荒謬連連。
公民黨鼓勵市民要透過不同渠道積極發聲，捍衛我們的選舉權，向政府表達不滿，要求撤回所有方案，並維持現狀。
