公民黨要求東涌線減票價

港鐵不久之前才發表2013年度業績，錄得130億元盈利。語音未落，日前隨即公布將按照票價調整機制方程式加價。計算消費物價指數及運輸業名義工資指數按年升幅，再減去0.6%生產力因素後，港鐵若要「賺到盡」的話，今年可加價3.6%，更是連續第五年加價。

鐵路服務是東涌居民最依賴的公共交通工具。由東涌站至中環站，單程票價已高達23元。而現時東涌至南昌，以及東涌至中環的「全月通」，只適用於來往東涌線。乘客如轉乘其他路線，須額外支付車資，東涌居民根本無法真正受惠。港鐵連續五年加價，令東涌居民百上加斤，忍無可忍！

港鐵作為香港最大的公營事業之一，在有龐大盈餘的情況下，實在有責任照顧民生需要。公民黨東涌北補選候選人余俊翔聯同立法會議員郭家麒，一同到港鐵香港站請願，要求港鐵全面削減東涌線票價，並將「全月通」套票的適用範圍擴大至其他路線，才可真正惠及東涌居民，減輕居民負擔。
