親身往菜園新村視察並解決路權糾紛

2010年立法會通過撥款，興建廣深港高速鐵路香港段，政府於同年徵收石崗菜園村土地，用作興建緊急救援站。菜園村村民至今已居住於臨時屋兩年，一直等待在元崗新村重建菜園新村。有關建築工程已獲元朗地政處批准，鄉議局亦曾公開宣佈菜園新村路權問題已獲圓滿解決。菜園村村民展開建築工程時，被地區人士阻撓，並指路權問題從未解決。

最初政府徵收菜園村土地時，時任運房局局長宣稱會人性化處理收地及搬遷問題；後來鄉議局宣布，有善長人翁出錢買入路權，供村民及其他公眾人士使用。當時運輸及房屋局發言人表示，樂見菜園村村民得到各界人士協助，順利搬遷。菜園新村仍未動工，政府有責任協助村民解決路權糾紛。

此事亦揭露多年以來，政府沒有妥善處理鄉郊地區糾纏不清的土地爭議。政府應公開澄清該土地業權誰屬，讓元崗新村、大窩村及菜園村村民完滿解決路權爭議。
