公民黨關注城大裁減教育人員

近800名城市大學師生，今日(24日)在校園集會，並抗議校方不合理終止或縮短約百名導師至助理教授職員的合約。公民黨秘書長陳家洛亦有出席是次集會，聲援今次行動。

公民黨認為，城大校方應就今次事件與教職員方面主動展開動話。事實上，涉及今次解僱事件的教職員，當中不乏過往對香港高等教育界付出貢獻的人士，如果因為今次事件而浪費多年投放在教育發展的心血，對高教界無礙是帶來倒退。

公民黨支持城大教職員協會要求成立獨立調查委員會，調查校方在今次事件上的處理手法，有否違反程序。公民黨認為，調查過程必須透明公開，並將結果向公眾交代。
