反對暴力 要求釋放內地維權人士陳光誠
日前有報導指，被軟禁的山東盲人維權人士陳光誠和其妻遭當地派出的民警毆打致傷。
公民黨對於當地政府以暴力對待維權人士，是公然漠視法律，亦是中國之恥。這樣的行為，是不應發生於中國境內。公民黨譴責暴力行為，並要求立即釋放被軟禁的陳光誠及其家人。
陳光誠遭山東政府無理對待事件簿：
2005年，中國仍推行計劃生育政策，當時的山東省政府為保持該省的生育率於低水平，他們不管國家規定，對婦女推行強制人工流產及絕育手術計劃。維權人士陳光誠對此事作出深入的探究後，代表受害婦女控告當地官員，因此他成為當時山東省的公民社會代表。
2006年8月，經過2小時沒有代表律師的審判，陳光誠被控以「故意毀壞財物罪」和「聚眾擾亂交通秩序罪」判刑四年零三個月。
2010年9月，陳光誠服刑期滿出獄，但從此與家人被軟禁於家中。
2011年2月，陳光誠被軟禁在家的網上短片曝光後，他與妻子袁偉靜遭到當地民警毆打，並禁止到醫院檢查。
