反對港鐵大幅加價推高通脹

港鐵公司宣佈根據票價可加可減機制，決定加價5.4%，雖然港鐵是根據法例的可加可減機制合法地加價，但在通漲嚴重，百物騰貴的情況下，今次加價，令市民百上加斤。公民黨反對加價，認為港鐵應考慮乘客的負擔能力，下調甚至凍結有關的加幅，不可令「可加可減」變成「只加不減」。

港鐵公司2011年的盈利為147億元，盈利能力冠絕香港所有公共交通營運商，乘客作為港鐵最重要的持分者之一，理應一同分享龐大的營運成果。即使港鐵凍結票價，也不會影響港鐵公司的盈利能力。 統計署最新發表的數據顯示，2月份的通脹率為4.7%，水平仍然偏高，港鐵建議平均票價加幅已高於此水平，港鐵此舉勢將加劇通脹情況。

公民黨建議政府，盡快檢討港鐵的可加可減機制，維持公共交通開支在市民可接受的水平，確保機制會考慮港鐵的利潤(包括從物業發展所得的利潤)。同時，亦考慮民生情況，以免港鐵在已賺取可觀利潤的情況下，仍企圖加價。

公民黨要求：
(1)    政府應從港鐵的收益，回饋市民，以抵消票價增幅；
(2)    盡快檢討可加可減機制，加入考慮民生或港鐵的經營狀況等因素。
