回應曾鈺成

對於立法會主席曾鈺成接受《議事論事》訪問時，表示為投政改方案一票而會辭去立法會主席，公民黨黨魁余若薇回應：「曾鈺成當年角逐立法會主席時，承諾會放棄行使投票權以保持主席的中立形象，但政府一要「箍票」，他就違背當時不投票的承諾。」余指出：「根據議會規則，建制派現時佔議會大多數，就算曾辭去主席，下一個主席都很大機會由建制派議員出任，若新主席表示當選後會一定投票，就會損害立法會主席一貫以來不偏不倚，公平公正的形象。由此可見，政府亦已「穩袋」曾的一票，因此，市民不應靠議會去爭取真普選，更加要珍惜516的投票機會，全力支持五區公投運動，令政府及建制認真的聆聽及尊重港人的民主訴求。
