回應林鄭月娥公布沙中綫調查委員會職權範圍

行政長官於下午公布沙中綫調查委員會的委員名單及職權範圍。公民黨立法會議員陳淑莊對特首拒絕擴大委員會的職權範圍至整個沙中綫工程項目表示非常失望，質疑只調查沙中綫紅磡站的工程問題能否挽回公眾對沙中綫的安全及工程質量的信心。

根據已公布的職權範圍，調查委員會只限於調查沙中綫項目工程合約編號1112下的紅磡站擴建部分的連續牆及月台層板建造工程。陳淑莊指，若港鐵及政府在工程監管及通報機制上存在根深蒂固的問題，影響公眾安全的工程問題不可能只限於紅磡站月台，因此調查委員會的職權範圍有必要包括整條沙中綫各個部分的安全及質量。

陳淑莊認為，紅磡站、會展站及土瓜灣站的工程問題已經令公眾嚴重質疑整條沙中綫的工程質量及安全。林鄭月娥拒絕擴大委員會的職權範圍等同拒絕正視市民對整體沙中綫安全的憂慮，做法一意孤行。

鑑於調查委員會只限於紅磡站，陳淑莊考慮暑假過後引用《權力及特權條例》，調查沙中綫下其他合約及整體工程安全，履行議員的職責。
