回應聯合醫院公布之醫療事故

對於聯合醫院今日公布，有關鄧桂思女士之醫療事故，公民黨立法會議員郭家麒對事件表示震驚及不能接受。同時，郭家麒亦對鄧桂思女士及其家人致以慰問，希望鄧女士盡快脫離危險期，早日康復。

郭家麒認為，根據醫管局的呈報機制，今次的事故屬於機制內的「嚴重醫療事件」及「重大風險事件」。按照程序，醫院須在24小時內作通布。但今次事件，聯合醫院在4月6日確認出錯，卻拖延至今日，即5月9日才公布事件，做法不能接受。

其次，對於由聯合醫院自行成立調查委員會跟進事件，郭家麒形容做法荒謬，是「自己人查自己人」。同時，他亦批評今次事件只由聯合醫院單方面公布，醫管局高層卻「失蹤」，醫管局是不負責，違背了公眾的期望。郭家麒認為，醫管局有責任監督各醫院的服務質素，今次事件醫管局不能逃避責任。
