回覆宴請第五屆立法會議員

感謝 閣下來函祝賀並宴請公民黨六位新當選的立法會議員。

在剛過去的立法會選舉，公民黨各立法會議員以「擋住香港赤化」為競選政綱，承諾選民在議會內爭取真正撤回洗腦國民教育科，包括公民黨在內八個泛民主派政黨及團體，亦表明會在議會內以私人草案方式，阻止推行國民教育科。
惟 閣下至今仍砌詞迴避社會上極之清晰的「撤科」訴求，並拒絕與「民間反對國民教育科大聯盟」作不設任何前設的公開會面。公民黨促請 閣下，盡快就國民教育科此嚴肅課題，安排與泛民主派立法會議員會面，僅禮節式宴請而不能作認真討論，實不符市民所望，故此，公民黨六位議員不擬出席是次午宴。

誠如 閣下來函所指，第四屆政府將竭誠盡心與新一屆立法會增進溝通，携手為香港未來而努力，公民黨期望， 閣下可盡快就此公眾關注議題，安排正式會議。
