地區零諮詢　法庭未裁決　反對偷步興建石鼓洲焚化爐

政府將興建石鼓洲焚化爐方案（即綜合廢物管理設施）提交星期一舉行的立法會環境事務委員會，並於今年第二季內提交財委會申請撥款。但石鼓洲焚化爐正面臨司法覆核上訴，法庭已排期至今年六月。政府堅持闖關，無法令公眾接受！

另外，環境局將於今年三月，與立法會議員前往歐洲考察轉廢為能最新科技發展，但既然當局已決定採用焚化技術處理廢物，是次外訪行程只是浪費公帑及議員時間；焚化爐亦將嚴重影響當地生態環境及居民健康，一眾長洲居民已在區內收集街坊簽署，抗議政府沒有諮詢居民意願。

就此，公民黨已於今天到政府總部抗議政府強行興建石鼓洲焚化爐，並將請願信提交政府代表。
