抗議緬甸法院判監兩記者 要求停止殘害羅興亞人

緬甸羅興亞難民人權問題發生一周年，軍方仍然對羅興亞人作出種種屠殺、違反人道的殘害行為。而本周一兩名路透社記者，因報道軍方殘殺羅興亞難民事件，被指違反《政府機密法》，而被遭緬甸法院判處重囚7年。
就此，公民黨立法會議員郭家麒今日到緬甸駐香港總領事館，向緬甸駐港總領事Mrs Myat Thuzar Than遞交信件，譴責緬甸法院的裁決，要求緬甸政府釋放維權記者、立即將停止軍方對羅興亞人的加害行為。
緬甸政府長久以來不承認羅興亞人的身份、並作不公平對待，已有違人權。然而過去一年緬甸軍方更向羅興亞人作出種族屠殺，更是違反人道。兩名透社記者瓦倫（Wa Lone）及覺梭（Kyaw Soe Oo）不畏強權，大膽報道揭示軍方的違法行為，而被緬甸警方帶走，最終被法院判重囚。而二人的報道刊出後，軍方首次承認曾殺害羅興亞人，說明二人報道屬實。
公民黨認為，緬甸軍方承認殺害羅興亞人，緬甸政府必須承認責任，嚴懲相關人士，並且保護羅興亞人、停止對維權人士、對羅興亞人的政治打壓。
