敦促政府盡快公佈兩電利潤協議方案

今天（12月13日）港燈及中電公佈明年電費調整幅度，港燈明年減電費17.2%，而中電則會凍結電費但同時提供回扣。

公民黨歡迎兩電的調整，認為有關調整合理。然而公民黨需要提醒市民，雖然兩電的平均淨電價為不變甚至下降，但事實上兩電的基本電費仍然一直上升，當港燈及中電新發電廠入帳後，將會對基本電價造成非常大的壓力，幾年後電費可能有顯著增幅。

穩定的電力供應，以致電費價格一直是市民十分關注的議題，公民黨要求政府盡快公佈利潤管制協議檢討的最終定案，將兩電的准許利潤回報上限調低到6-8%。政府亦宜與兩電商討，研究撥出電費穩定基金的一定百分比，以發展再生能源，或加強節能措施，及作公眾教育之用。
