會面時間惹人質疑 政務司長必須澄清 呼籲大學尊重學生罷課行動

政務司司長林鄭月娥今午與各資助大學校長會面，雖然各間大學校長均異口同聲指出會面中多談及與香港高等教育相關的議題，僅花十多分鐘談及大學生罷課和佔中，但是本人對政務司司長選擇於此敏感時刻安排與大學校長會面，難免予人政府當局有意向大學就學生罷課及參與佔中行動作出指示。本人認為政務司司長應公開澄清安排上述會面的目的和選擇此會面時間的原因。

當然，本人同意香港高等教育仍有不少急待處理的問題，包括資助大學學額嚴重不足、學生宿位供應緊張以及大學的管治問題等。本人盼望大學各校長與政務司司長的會面能夠實質地使上述問題得到處理和解決。

另一方面，對於前教育統籌局局長，現任行政會議非官守成員李國章今早就大學生罷課行動的言論表示譴責。本人認為學生罷課是希望就他們的信念發聲，至於李國章指罷課的同學若希望作出犧牲，應該選擇退學云云就更是無稽之談。本人強烈要求各間大學尊重學生的表達和集會自由，協助大學生進行罷課。
