堅持不容篩選 特首選舉普及而平等
公民黨黨魁立法會議員梁家傑將於明日立法會上就2017普選行政長官提出議案辯論，要求政府制訂的選舉方案必須確保提名權、參選權及投票權均是普及而平等，不能以提名委員會「篩選」或「預選」候選人。
梁家傑指出，現時的行政長官無民意授權，因此無法解決「深層次矛盾」，令社會撕裂，走向兩極。他認為要徹底解決問題，只能靠由香港市民一人一票選出行政長官。他表示他提出的議案以及真普選聯盟早前提出的「七點初步意見」，是為了迫使政府立即展開諮詢，並藉此啟用公眾討論。他又認為香港人要做老闆，因此中央政府必須放棄以密室談判的方式制定政改方案，必須公開諮詢及討論。
公民黨立法會議員陳家洛指出，小圈子選舉是「少數人的獨裁」，令民生無法改善。他又表示社會大眾不應灰心，不要認命，要站出來。公民黨立法會議員湯家驊表示，每年這段時間期間，也會憶起中央政府有否從「六四慘劇」中汲取教訓。他直指︰「『六四慘劇』顯示中央政府的強硬態度，但強硬並不代表有理。假若特區政府及中央政府仍然不積極處理政改問題，仍然以『背對背』態度處理政改，只會悲劇收場！」湯家驊認為，政改問題刻不容緩，期望政府立即展開全面諮詢，尋求解決方法。
