梁家傑要求凍結公共街市租金

首要改善公共街市營商環境
繼早前巡視九龍區三個公共街市，立法會食物安全及環境衞生事務委員會主席梁家傑及三名委員，今日聯同食物及衞生局局長高永文，到港島區第二度巡視公共街市，以了解商販經營狀況。
梁家傑指出，相信高永文經過兩次巡視，已聽到販商的清晰訴求，希望政府先改善公共街市經營環境，為公共街市拍定新的政策方向，其後才考慮加租問題。梁家傑要求，高永文在7月9日的立法會食物安全及環境衞生事務委員會會議上，就三方面作確切交待，其一是向委員會提交委聘顧問研究公共街市的重點方向；其二是承諾改善街市營商環境，包括安裝冷氣等問題；其三是在公布新的公共街市政策前，保證繼續凍結街市租金。他強調，公共街市與民生息息相關，讓小本經營有「落腳點」，亦是市民在惡劣通脹環境下，可以買到「平貨」的地方。
梁家傑已透過立法會秘書處，要求高永文盡快向委員會提交委聘顧問研究的重點方向。
