梁家傑邀高永文參觀公眾街市 炎夏熱力迫人 商戶一致要求加裝冷氣

立法會食物安全及環境衛生事務委員會今天(5月28日)邀請食物及衛生局局長高永文醫生參觀旺角花園街街市﹑九龍城街市及牛頭角街市，聽取商戶的營商困難，以協助局方制定更貼合需要的公眾街市政策。

在參觀途中，商戶眾口一辭，希望局方為公眾街市安裝冷氣。當中牛頭角街市的商戶稱，曾有商戶及顧客於街市中暑暈倒。食環處曾向他們指出，安裝冷氣需要整個街市休業9個月，令很多商戶擔心「手停口停」而卻步。商戶希望，局方能在盡量縮短休業期的影響下施工。

食衛委員會主席梁家傑提醒，公眾街市的凍租安排將於本年12月完結，局方不能只談加租，卻同時漠視商戶的營商困難。他相信，若能增加公眾街市的競爭力，生意做得好，商戶亦不介意適度加租及交冷氣費，惜局長仍未肯作出任何承諾。
