楊岳橋議員回應警務處處長言論

警務處處長鄧炳強今午在回應傳媒就警隊表現的查詢時，引述了楊議員以往的一些言論，楊岳橋有以下回應：
1. 就「東北案」發表的這段說話，楊議員承認該段說話並不恰當，並已於2018年6月14日的立法會會議發言中，正式向當事人道歉；楊岳橋認為，公眾人物為自己的過失向公眾道歉，是負責任的表現，是公職人物應有之義；

2. 鄧處長指有社會人士縱容及姑息暴力事件，楊岳橋批評，真正縱容及姑息暴力者，是特區政府的高層﹑以及警隊的領導層，以7.21及8.31事件為例，特區政府及警隊高層對於警察暴力一直採取包庇及縱容的態度，致使警暴愈演愈烈，民憤愈燒愈火，對於警民嚴峻的對立，政府有不可推卸的責任；

3. 鄧處長指警隊就警隊紀律問題已訓斥二十一名警員，楊岳橋質疑，當教師及其他公務員發表了不容於政府的言論或行為，其所面對的後果遠比警員所面隊的訓斥嚴重，反問為甚麼警隊不以同一套標準對待不守紀律的警員；此外，鄧處長又辯稱早前「睇戲學當差」的言論是幽默的表現，楊岳橋反駁，為甚麼鄧處長不能容忍港台《頭條新聞》的幽默？

4. 楊岳橋嚴正呼籲，請鄧處長不要沉迷做KOL (意見領袖)﹑不要沉迷口舌之爭，他促請鄧處長做好本份，重整警隊的紀律﹑約束警暴，為重建公眾對警隊的信心而坐言起行。
