毛孟靜呼籲市民 齊過綠色聖誕

公民黨九龍西支部今日(12月23日)下午於旺角行人專用區舉辦一個題為「過一個綠色聖誕」的街頭論壇，呼籲市民過一個既環保又愉快的聖誕節。
立法會議員毛孟靜強調「動物不是禮物」，呼籲市民不要贈貓狗等動物作聖誕禮物，因為「家人吵架，動物當災」，節日過後不少動物被遺棄街頭，甚至人道毀滅。另外，她亦示範用舊報紙作包裝紙、罐裝汽水紙皮盒作心意咭及西餅盒尼龍繩作絲帶，如何環保包裝禮物。「動物地球」總幹事黃繼仁表示於宴會中應避免選用魚翅及乳豬等菜式，並要珍惜食物，因為動物須犧牲生命以成為桌上食物。他亦表示不少毛皮服裝以不人道方法製造，如一張羽絨毯需生拔七十多隻鵝或鴨的羽毛。
「綠領行動」項目主任葉翠雯則表示現時香港每日產生重量相等於一百九十多輛雙層巴士的廚餘，因此呼籲市民應按量叫餐及採用多菜少肉的餐單。毛孟靜表示同意，認為供應肉食品較種植蔬果需要消耗多倍能源及糧食。
毛孟靜總結，環保過節是知易行難，呼籲市民要身體力行，提升個人環保意識，為下一代著想。
