毛孟靜譴責警方無理扣留記者侵犯新聞自由

根據今日(12月4日)《蘋果日報》報道，該報記者陳達浩昨日(3日)於元朗錦田採訪一宗土地糾紛期間，在表明記者身份後，仍被警方無理帶返警署並扣留四小時。立法會議員毛孟靜對阻礙記者採訪及侵犯新聞自由的行為深感憤怒，並強烈譴責，擔心警方對記者這樣的態度行為日後成為慣例。

《蘋果》記者於昨日下午到錦田大江埔村採訪一宗土地糾紛，事主與三名裝修工人清拆現場一道鐵門，期間鄰居報警指有人爆竊。警方到場後以涉嫌刑事毀壞拘捕四人，但同時亦將正在採訪的記者帶回警署，令採訪報道被迫中止。從記者拍攝的片段看到，警方進行拘捕時清楚知道記者的身份，而現場亦無任何人証物証顯示該記者有參與清拆行動。警方要求把記者帶回警署協助調查時亦無提供合理理由。毛孟靜認為此事有濫用警權之嫌，嚴重妨礙記者的採訪自由，剝削市民知情權。

其實，近年類似的濫用警權事件時有發生，例如今年6月胡錦濤訪港期間，記者因提問六四議題而被警方強行帶走，事後亦無提供解釋。警務處處長曾偉雄自上任後，處理與傳媒有關的事件時態度強硬，令雙方關係緊張，不時發生磨擦。毛孟靜呼籲警方尊重新聞自由，確保記者能正常採訪，保障市民知情權。
