民主派去信內會主席 要求就興建故宮文化博物館召開特別會議

就特區政府於12月23日突然宣佈在西九文化區興建故宮文化博物館一事，民主派24位立法會議員今早聯署去信立法會內務委員會主席李慧琼議員，要求根據《西九文化區管理局條例》第18條盡快召開內務委員會特別會議，邀請西九管理局主席林鄭月娥及行政總裁柏志高出席，並回答議員的提問。

要求召開特別會議

特區政府於12月23日突然宣佈在西九文化區興建故宮文化博物館，並由香港賽馬會斥資35億元承擔工程開支。政府當局就此項目事前僅向數位西九管理局董事進行摸底，不但未有按法例要求及一貫做法諮詢公眾，更繞過立法會的監察。我們認為政府當局此等黑箱作業的行事方式完全不能接受。

根據《西九文化區管理局條例》第18條，西九管理局主席及行政總裁須應立法會或其委員會的要求出席會議，並回答議員的提問。鑒於興建故官文化博物館一事已引起市民及不同業界人士的廣泛關注，我們特致函 閣下，要求 閣下盡快召開內務委員會特別會議，討論興建故宮文化博物館一事，並邀請西九管理局主席林鄭月娥及行政總裁柏志高出席有關會議，與議員就事件進行討論並回應議員的質詢。我們亦要求政府及西九管理局向內務委員會提交與上述議題相關的文件和資料，包括西九管理局就故官文化博物館項目的討論過程，政府當局向西九管理局董事摸底的詳情以及當局與北京故官博物館的協議內容等。
