湯家驊對佔中警民衝突感痛心 懇切呼籲雙方各退一步 停止互相衝擊

立法會議員湯家驊就近日佔領行動持續升級，引致大規模警民衝突和暴力行為深感痛心和憂慮。湯家驊完全理解和認同社會對831人大常委會的政改決定感到極度無奈、沮喪，甚至憤怒之情緒;但社會只有更民主的民主，沒有絕對的民主。

爭取民主是一個漫長的過程,以一種只求朝夕，不惜犧牲法治、漠視社會分化的行動和心態，只顧眼前表面的政治成果，對長遠民主發展，甚至推廣民主運動都難見其利。持續的社會鬥爭和內耗，只會為政改樹立更大的阻力，無助於早日落實真普選。湯家驊懇切呼籲：

一、警方及佔領人士各退一步，停止互相衝擊，給予佔領人士一個盡快自動退場機會；

二、各方停止互相譴責、推卸責任，避免社會增強對立，加深分化；

三、社會各界包括官員、議員、學者和民間領袖，盡快合力為整體社會重建互信，彌補裂痕，拉近分歧。

湯家驊希望特區政府為此能發揮領導才能及示範作用，盡快就特區整體民主發展啟動廣泛諮詢和對話，爭取凝聚各界就普選行政長官和普選立法會之意見，為港人設訂一套長遠、詳盡之時間表和路線圖，為特區長冶久安出多一分力、給予和平理性化解政改危機一個機會！
