要求政府有誠信，徹查失信陳茂波；簽名要求調查陳茂波

暑假已經過去，但於七月初被揭發在新界東北發展計劃的發展區內擁有農地的發展局局長陳茂波，至今一直避見公眾，仍未能向公眾清楚解釋事件，當中各處的利益仍糾纏不清，涉事的農地全部以海外公司持有，股權亦錯綜複雜。同時局長亦被揭發涉嫌違反公司註册條例，在公司凍結期間違規出租農地。陳茂波甚至以家人作擋箭牌，令市民極為憤怒。

東北發展計劃政府預計動用三百億元收地，局長的解釋不全面，除未能洗脫利益輸送的嫌疑、亦令人質疑推動新界東北發展計劃的理據。

而在公民黨於上月進行有關陳茂波囤地事件的調查中，已清楚顯示出市民認為陳茂波在解釋囤地事件上有講大話，亦認為陳茂波應該立即落台。

就此，公民黨於今天開始，將展開一連串的行動，包括到街頭收集市民簽名，要求陳茂波落台。同時，郭家麒議員亦會在立法會復會後的第一個內務委員會會議，及第一個立法會大會上，分別引用「權力及特權法」，以徹查陳茂波囤地的事件，望市民得到事件的真相。
