要求港鐵立即公開交代每宗涉及公眾安全的「不合格」工程

公民黨立法會議員陳淑莊回應港鐵如下：
1. 港鐵主席馬時亨今天公布，董事局決定就沙中綫的工程問題及通報機制進行調查及檢討，由董事局轄下的工程委員會領導，並會聘請外來顧問協助。
陳淑莊批評此舉裝模作樣，因為港鐵曾於2014年就高鐵延誤做過類似的門面工夫，而當年結論是加強項目管理，並在董事局之下成立工程委員會監察港鐵重大工程。近日傳媒揭發多宗沙中線工程事故，證明港鐵死性不改。而且，由工程委員會領導今次沙中線調查和檢討，特別諷刺，陳淑莊對這份調查報告不抱期望。
2. 陳淑莊指出，港鐵一方面承認是傳媒揭發才知沙中線的工程事故，但另一方面又死撐有完善的監工制度，自相矛盾，陳淑莊批評港鐵仍未醒覺，公眾對港鐵的工程質素和監工制度已失去信心。
3. 港鐵的態度是涉及公眾安全的工程事故才需要公布。陳淑莊認為港鐵這樣有取巧之嫌，因為工程被揭發有過錯而港鐵糾正了，就可以當作符合公眾安全，就不必公布。
陳淑莊促請港鐵，如欲減低市民對沙中線的安全疑慮，挽回公眾一點信心，港鐵至少應該開誠布公，立即公開交代沙中綫動工以來，每宗涉及公眾安全並曾經向承辦商發出「不合格報告」的事件。
