發展商背棄承諾
忽視居民需要
要求維持映灣園村巴服務

公民黨執委郭家麒醫生、社區發展主任譚文豪等聯同東涌映灣園居民，今日到長實集團總部抗議，要求發展商履行信守當初承諾，維持提供村巴服務。

長實屬下CC Club於日前（本月17日）突然單方面宣佈，該會自入伙初期便一直為映灣園居民提供，於早上及傍晚接送居民到中環及尖沙咀的村巴服務，將於本月23日全面取消。該會提供此項服務已經接近十年，有居民表示，有關服務乃是當年經濟低迷之時，發展商為吸引買家的承諾設施之一。

CC Club竟然以少於七個工作天的通知時間，更以商業理由作推搪，更單方面宣佈終止服務，在社會公義與道德的立場，發展商都必需向居民交待。

映灣園為東涌區內最大規模之私人屋苑。但由於屋苑所在位置偏離東涌港鐵站，大部份居民，特別是上班一族，一直都十分依賴村巴服務往番地鐵站。一旦取消，必定會對居民帶來極大不便，同時亦將會令區內交通加重負擔，影響所有往來東涌及附近地區工作及旅遊的人士。

由當初對準買家的一個承諾，甚至只是招徠，但巧合地到現在屋苑最後一批樓房公開發售完結之時，停止此項維持了十年的基本民生服務，居民感到承諾被背棄，過橋抽板。
