要求警方交代使用過期催淚彈之情況

根據警方早前公布，由6月至8月4日，警方總共發出1000枚催淚彈；而單是8月5日，更在全港各區發放800枚催淚彈，總數共1800枚。不少傳媒拍下催淚彈罐，發現催淚彈已經過期。惟公共關係科高級警司江永祥，在警方的記者會上，拒絕交代警方是否曾使用，以及使用過期催淚彈之數量。郭家麒認為警方是有違公眾知情權。

據報道，有市民疑因接觸到過期催淚彈而令皮膚起水泡及潰爛；郭家麒議員亦曾目睹有警員即使配戴了防毒面具，亦因吸入了懷疑是過期催淚彈的煙霧而嘔吐不適。令人擔心過期催淚彈對警員及市民人身安全及健康，比正常催淚彈造成更大傷害。

他質疑警方曾否評估使用過期催淚彈，對警員，以及聞到催淚氣體的市民，之人身安全及健康構成的風險。故去信警務處處長盧偉聰，要求交代使用過期催淚彈之情況，並仿傚昨日警方的記者會，公開示範接觸「使用期內的催淚彈」以及「過期催淚彈」，說明兩者沒有分別，以令前線警員及市民安心。
