逾9成流感疫苗過期棄置 余若薇冀政府汲取教訓

公民黨立法會議員余若薇今日(2月16日)在立法會提出有關流感疫苗用量的書面質詢，從政府的答覆，揭露當局2009年採購的300萬劑人類豬型流感疫苗只使用了6.4% (19萬劑)，其餘280多萬劑未用疫苗最終因過期而須棄置，政府的估算與現實有很大偏差，白白浪費了逾2億2千萬元，余若薇對此十分氣憤，因當初她再三勸告政府減少訂購數量，如今證明她並非杞人憂天，她促請政府從是次失敗經驗中汲取教訓，將來採購前須有仔細而明智的評估，切勿再次耗費公帑。

余若薇指出，2009年4月全球爆發人類豬型流感大流行，港府6月建議推行人類豬型流感疫苗接種計畫，向立法會申請撥款訂購500萬劑疫苗。當時余若薇多次公開質疑政府沒有足夠理據說明目標組別人士會全數接種，加上疫情漸趨溫和，訂購如此龐大數目的疫苗會浪費公帑，她主張減少訂購數目，避免浪費，可惜當局一意孤行，而余若薇不幸言中，大量未用疫苗因過期須棄置，證明政府當時反應過敏。
