關注新流感疫苗未能完善保障長者

流感肆虐，疫情嚴峻，至今已有405宗死亡個案。今日政府公布將購入10萬劑新流感疫苗，優先為院舍長者和85歲以上人士接種，新疫苗預計4月底至5月到港。
公民黨歡迎政府為院舍長者接種疫苗，但政府只優先為社區上的85歲以上長者接種卻令市民失望。在2013年，男性出生時平均預期壽命是81年，女性則是87年。我們質疑，到底有多少非居於院舍的長者，會到社區接種新疫苗。
在今次的冬季流感季節中，全部感染個案中86.0%為65歲或以上長者，感染的長者當中，41.4%為85歲或以上，31.3%為75至84歲長者；而全部死亡的個案中，93.5%為65歲或以上長者，當中53.0%為85歲或以上，31.7%為75至84歲長者。可見不論感染或死亡個案，75歲以上長者的比率均相當高，就此，建議將新疫苗的接種計劃下降至75歲。
另一方面，於社區上的85歲以上長者，礙於長者行動不便，資訊接收或有困難，可能難以獲悉接種疫苗的資訊，若沿用舊有方法如疫苗券等，將難以有效吸引長者接種。就此，建議政府透過衛生署、其他非政府組織或機構，到各社區為長者接種，或派醫護人員上門為長者接種。
以下再一次重申建議：
1. 將新疫苗的接種計劃下降至75歲；
2. 透過衛生署、其他非政府組織或機構，到各社區為長者接種新疫苗，或派醫護人員上門為長者接種。
公民黨立法會議員郭家麒將就此去信衛生防護中心，促請當局從善如流，令長者得到完善的保障。
