關注瑪麗醫院心臟移植手術失誤，建議檢討核實機制

日前，醫院管理局向公眾公佈一宗罕見的嚴重醫療事故，瑪麗醫院在一項心臟移植手術中，錯誤將AB型血心臟移植至一名A型血病人，令病人出現排斥反應。院方初步認為涉及核對步驟的不足，公民黨十分關注事件。

現時全港只有瑪麗醫院可進行心臟移植手術，每年手術次數約有十宗。但進行心臟移植手術前的核對步驟，主要依靠負責操刀的醫生作口頭核對，核對步驟未如其他器官移植手術般完善。

就此，公民黨建議醫院管理局，應盡快檢討器官移植手術的核對步驟，並統一所有器官移植手術的核對機制；同時，醫院管理局應投入更多資源，建立電腦系統，以電腦配對合適移植的器官，減低錯誤配對的機會；另一方面，醫院管理局應考慮加入非參與手術的醫護人員，核對所有資料，減低出錯的機會，以保障病人安全。
