關注香港人權狀況人士Benedict Rogers被拒入境

關注亞洲多國人權狀況、英國保守黨人權委員會副主席Benedict Rogers今日（10月11日）於香港機場入境時被拒入境，即時原機遣返出發地。公民黨對此表示極度遺憾。

Rogers先生向來關心香港事務，對香港的人權狀況甚為關注，公民黨魁楊岳橋上月赴英時，亦曾與他會面交流。雙學三子被判入獄後，他在英國積極籌辦聲援活動，務求引起當地社會關注香港的人權和政治現況。

這次被拒入境，令我們困惑的是，他既是英國公民，理應毋需簽證即可進入香港；入境處是根據甚麼理據、條例、準則來拒絕他入境？公民黨將去信保安局，要求交代這次事件，是否與其政治立場有關。

我們重申，香港作為國際都會，必須尊重全球各地訪客的出入境自由，當局亦不能一而再以「個別事件」為藉口，肆意運用權力將政府不悅的人拒諸香港門外。
