陳家洛回應顧明均先生不接受浸會大學榮譽博士學位一事

今天有傳媒報道指顧明均致函浸大校長，就佔中行動及警察執法表達意見，並表示暫時不會接受浸大頒發的榮譽工商管理博士學位。作為浸會大學的一份子，堅持大學作為自由堡壘的原則，本人認為顧先生的決定不僅對學術機構不尊重，同時置校長和大學於尷尬處境，對於顧先生的行徑不能苟同。

本人尊重顧先生表達其政見的言論自由和政治取態，但認為任何人以拒絕接受榮譽博士學位的方式向公眾表達個人對 「和平佔中」運動和警察執法等方面的立場，實屬借題發揮，完全不合適。繼早前有私人企業以停止贊助大學獎學金，本人認為任何向大學施壓，或者脅迫大學就範的意圖絕對不應鼓勵。

目前香港社會面對的困局，是否能夠出現突破全在特區政府，特別是行政長官的一念之間。只要特區政府願意提出落實真普選的方案，一切的僵局必然立時迎刃而解，香港賴以成功的核心價值將得到更大保障。本人呼籲社會各界認清管治危機的真正原因，同心合力促請政府當局紮實回應民意，要求人大常委修訂就香港政制發展所作的決定，讓香港人有真正選擇行政長官的權利、普選立法會所有議席。
