教育局懶理校舍無障礙

本人於今天的立法會會議上，就本港中小學校舍的無障礙設施提出一項書面質詢。教育局局長在答覆中竟表示「教育局並沒有全面統計每所學校的各種無障礙設施」。局方的答覆亦未能說明一些於1997年前興建的校舍設置無障礙設施的計劃和時間表，本人認為教育局的答覆表明局方根本沒有履行應盡的責任，有失職之嫌。

近年來教育局大力推動融合教育，鼓勵學校取錄殘疾學生，但是教育局若本身也未掌握每個校舍無障礙設施的情況，又怎能確保殘疾學生可自由地選擇心儀的學校？本人絕對不能接受這個情況。

本人將於立法會融合教育小組委員會作於跟進，並要求教育當局立即搜集和公開各校舍設置無障礙設施的資料，盡快擬定在本港所有校舍設置無障礙設施的計劃詳情和時間表。本人絕對不能接受學校因設施不足，導致殘疾學生不能獲得理想的學習環境。
