「我們未來的鐵路」地區優化性方案公民黨意見書

近年來，政府當局一直透過擴展香港的鐵路網絡，作為完善香港交通網絡的重要政策。公民黨認同發展以鐵路為主的集體運輸系統，可以吸引更多市民減少使用路面的交通工具，間接減輕道路上的交通流量，從而紓緩路面車流排出的污染物總量，達致改善空氣質素的效果。同時，鐵路系統亦可以方便沿線的居民，提升他們的生活質素，故公民黨歡迎政府為擴展鐵路系統制定長遠政策。
