公民黨對《政府就引入收費以減少都市固體廢物諮詢公眾》的意見書
政府就引入都市固體廢物收費建議展開公開諮詢，就相關諮詢，公民黨於2012年3月21至28日，透過電話進行抽樣訪問，成功訪問了1533名市民的意見。結果顯示，超過七成半的市民認為本港固體廢物問題嚴重，而近半的市民同意引入都市固體廢物收費，當中較多人接受局部向工商業界收費或實行按量收費。此外，有七成受訪者認為政府應將有關政策的收入以「專款專用」的方式推動本港的環保工作。（「專款專用」指現時推動環保工業的資源不足，令部分業界難以持續發展。）調查更發現有七成半的市民同意立法強制規定源頭分類。這反映出市民非常關注處理固體廢物的問題，並願意加強日常的源頭分類，達至更佳的減廢效果。
