公民黨對《2007年商品說明（修訂）條例草案》的建議

公民黨察悉政府提出《2007年商品說明（修訂 ）條例草案》（下稱 《法案》）。我們 一直支持並敦促政府修訂現行的保障消費者法例 ，打擊不良的營商手法，從而保障消費者的權益 。公民黨也留意到，《法案》為政府針對不良營商手法而進行的第一階段修例，故此公民黨促請當局盡快提交第二階段修例，全面改革現行法例，為消費者提供更佳的保障。

公民黨留意到，不誠實的零售商屢屢利用不正當手法，誘使消費者達成交易，但現行的《商品說明條例》的條文尚不足以杜絕此等現象；另一方面，公民黨相信，此等害群之馬只屬少數，我們期望政府在保障消費者利益的同時，也應小心考慮《法案 》內容 ，避免過度立法，以免為零售商帶來銷售陷阱。
