公民黨對《2012年港鐵票價調整及香港鐵路有限公司的票價調整機制》綜合意見書

鐵早前宣佈根據法例的可加可減機制調整票價，加幅高達5.4%，乘客每程平均需多付0.3至1元。可加可減機制的計算方法大概是以運輸業名義工資指數及綜合消費物價指數作為基準，並每年作出票價檢討。

在過住幾年通漲嚴重，百物騰貴的情況下，今次加價將會令市民的生活擔子百上加斤。因此公民黨反對加價，認為港鐵應考慮乘客的負擔能力，下調甚至凍結有關的加幅，不可令「可加可減」的機制變成「只加不減」。
