公民黨對政府骨灰龕政策的初步建議書

慎終追遠是中華民族的傳統美德，讓先人得到妥善安葬，不單是對先人的一種敬意，更象徵着一眾孝子賢孫的仁孝之心。近年來，香港的靈灰龕位出現嚴重供不應求的情況，政府估計未來十年中，每年的火葬達43900宗，但目前政府轄下公營約十七萬個公營龕位已全數配售，以致先人的靈灰需要臨時存放一段相當長的時間，才獲得編配公營靈灰龕位；公營龕位不足，導致私營靈灰安置所遍地開花，公民黨當然明白市場的供求問題，不反對私營靈灰安置所的存在，但當中不乏違規違法的個案，消費者權益毫無保障，令致先人靈灰未能妥善地及有尊嚴地存放，公民黨對此情況深表關注，並促請政府當局盡快制定長遠的政策，以解決上述的問題。
