公民黨就《低收入在職家庭津貼計劃》的意見書

扶貧委員會於2017年11月向政府提交報告，指2016年香港的貧窮人口共有58.2萬戶，即135.2萬，較2015年高出7,000人，即5個人之中有1個人是貧窮。這與2016年統計處就人口普查有關香港的住戶收入分佈的答案相符，就是反映貧富差距的堅尼系數，去年錄得0.539，是歷來新高，名列世界榜首位置。
