公民黨就《少數族裔就業相關事宜》意見書
根據2016年中期人口普查數據，居於香港的少數族裔人口佔全港人口的8%，撇除外籍家庭傭工後，少數族裔人口以南亞裔人士為多數，約佔八萬五千人，當中又以印度、巴基斯坦和尼泊爾人為主。在2016年，少數族裔人士的整體勞動人口參與率為64.5%，佔全港工作人口的12%。言而，由於文化、語言的差異，少數族裔在求職時或工作時都遇到不少困難，2016年政府發表《香港少數族裔人士貧窮報告》，少數族裔主要職業收入中位數為$9200，貧窮率達19.4%，即使香港經濟增長強勁，他們亦無法分享經濟成果。
公民黨認為，既然大部份少數族裔都是香港的常住居民，政府必須為他們提供足夠的支援，在就業方面幫助他們融入社會，改善他們的生活。
