公民黨就《收緊新登記車輛廢氣排放標準的建議》提交意見書

政府建議收緊首次登記車輛廢氣排放標準，預計本年7月1日起分階段實施，屆時新登記車輛須收緊至歐盟6期標準，受影響車輛包括私家車、的士、小巴、巴士和貨車；另外，首次登記的柴油私家車亦須於本年7月1日起符合加州排放規定（LEV III）。

車輛排放的廢氣，是本港市區路邊空氣污染的主要成因，排放大量粒子和氮氧化物的柴油車輛，例如貨車、巴士及小巴，更是主要的污染源。由於街道兩旁高樓大廈林立，路邊的污染物往往難以消散，導致香港路邊空氣中的可吸入懸浮粒子和二氧化氮水平，在過去多年持續超出本港的空氣質素指標。公民黨支持相關建議，認為相關的建議將有效改善市區的空氣質素。
