公民黨就《檢討兒童住宿照顧服務》提交意見書

為支援二十一歲以下因種種原因而暫時未能獲家人適當照顧的兒童，或有行為、情緒問題的青少年，政府一直資助非政府機構提供不同類型的廿四小時免費住宿照顧服務，以符合兒童最佳利益為首要原則。截至去年底，各類兒童住宿照顧服務共提供三千六百七十六個服務名額，涉及每年總經常性開支約七億元。截至2016年12月31日，共有575宗輪候上述各類兒童住宿照顧服務的申請個案，平均輪候時間約為3個月。

公民黨認為，現時兒童宿位情況，無論緊急抑是長期宿位均短缺，令很多有需要的兒童無法得到適切的安排。
