公民黨就《檢討港鐵公司票價調整機制公眾諮詢》綜合意見書

政府在九月十七日，突然展開一直被市民詬病的「檢討香港鐵路有限公司的票價調整機制」諮詢。過去數年，港鐵均在賺大錢的情況下，仍可按可加可減機制連續三年加價，如去年賺逾147億元，但按機制卻加價5.4%。為了解市民的意見，公民黨於十月下旬，透過電話隨機調查，成功訪問2,517名市民。結果顯示，大部份市民根本不知道政府正進行諮詢，而市民對港鐵在賺大錢的情況下仍可按可加可減機制加價、而可加可減機制中沒有計算港鐵上蓋物業等賺錢項目、及港鐵只肯推出一些回贈而不肯應市民要求凍結車資或減價，市民均表示不合理和不能接受。
