公民黨就《淘汰歐盟IV期以前的柴油商業車輛》的意見書

政府今次將斥資100億元資助車主，並建議立法訂立法定退役期限，以淘汰歐盟IV期以前的柴油商業車輛，公民黨對這一類具經濟誘因及規限並施的政策方向表示歡迎，因為現時香港柴油商業車輛所排放的可吸入懸浮粒子約佔全港車輛排放量的90%，直接威脅市民健康；而淘汰所有歐盟四期以前的柴油商業車輛有助改善路邊空氣質素，亦能減低市民的健康風險。若淘汰了所有歐盟四期以前的柴油商業車輛；空氣中的可吸入懸浮粒子數量便會減少、減低路邊空氣污染指數出現甚高或嚴重水平的情況，從而減低市民患上心臟病或呼吸系統疾病的機會。
