公民黨就「泊車位政策」提交的意見書

政府紓緩私家車泊車位的三大方針，離不開打擊私家車用家的需求，包括增加買車稅和牌照費等。另外最近拆卸的美利道停車場及中間道停車場，重建為商廈後仍然損失的大量車位，亦有「陰乾」私家車車主之嫌，從以減少用車意欲。可是政府忽略當市區泊位不足的問題時，當違例泊車會增加，尋找泊位時間亦會增長，從而令路面進一步擠塞。

現時政府三大方針只求盲目施力，要求車主改變習慣，仍無針對分析市民用車原因。公民黨必須強調，控制汽車增長的關鍵是「堵不如疏」。政府的工作應是了解需求，從而引導私家車的需求至其他交通工具，而非盲目用力抑制。
