公民黨就「立法規定停車熄匙」呈交立法會之意見書

政府與社會各界就「立法規定停車熄匙」已討論了超過十年。香港的空氣污染愈來愈嚴重，與香港「國際都會」的定位背道而馳，社會對此已愈來愈不滿。公民黨贊成政府盡快立法規定停車熄匙，而且贊成現在的修訂，在技術上引入適度豁免以減少對營運車輛的影響; 但我們建議不要容許更多的豁免，以免令規例形同虛設。

但是公民黨必須指出，立法規定停車熄匙只是對付空氣污染的一小步，方向雖然正確但仍然是杯水車薪。所以我們促請政府不要就此停步，應盡快落實全面政策對付空氣污染，從最根本處改善香港人的生活質素。

公民黨正倡議「綠色新經濟」，既可以與「立法規定停車熄匙」相配合以遏止空氣污染，更能夠為香港創造大量職位，令所有市民受益。
